Book Giveaway! Win a Copy of No More Heroes!!

Giveaway is Now Closed
Thanks to all who entered! The randomly selected winner was comment #5: Tina Whitney.

Well, friends, you’ve heard me talk about my story in the No More Heroes anthology (what’s that? You haven’t?! Well feel free to look around) and now I’m giving some lucky person out there the chance to own the anthology for freeee! *crowd goes wild*

You can check out the Amazon page for more details (including retail value), but here’s the basic premise of the anthology: There was once an epic battle between the superheroes and the supervillains but (plot twist!) the villains won. Which begs the question “What do supervillains do when they don’t have heroes to get in their way?” The anthology is that question answered by many different authors.

I had a ton of fun working on my story for this, and even more fun getting the completed anthology and seeing how these shared characters wove in and out of the other stories. Also, I’ve always been fascinated by villains, so that just upped the awesome factor for me.

Okay, so, the giveaway! Here’s how it’s going to work:

  • To enter to win a copy of No More Heroes, simply comment on this post. OPTIONAL: you can include your favorite fictional villain in your comment. (Your choice of villain or lack of choice will have NO IMPACT WHATSOEVER on who wins the book. This is just me being curious.)
  • You have a whole week to enter! So, the last day to put your name in the hat will be July 4th 2015 at 8:59 am.
  • One entry per person (even if you comment 10 times, you still only have your name in once). Odds of winning depend on number of entries.
  • I will be using the random number generator on to choose the winner and will announce who it is on July 5th.
  • I will be contacting the winner through e-mail to get a mailing address so I can send the book. (Don’t worry, I’ll pay the shipping!)
  • If I am unable to get a valid mailing address by August 5th, I’ll be donating the free book to a local library. So please check your e-mail!
  • No purchase necessary
  • Void where prohibited by law

  1. Hey Olivia, congrats on getting your story published in the anthology! Sounds like a great premise for the book. It reminds me of a great roleplaying game I played once called Necessary Evil, where aliens attacked Earth, destroyed all the superheroes, and took over. So it was up to the supervillains to fight back… 🙂

Fave villain? So many to choose from. I’ve loved certain incarnations of the Sheriff of Nottingham in the Robin Hood stories. I also love Loki from the Marvel movies. So much fun to watch!

  2. I’m trying to figure out if any avid book reader can resist the words “book giveaway”…

But that sounds like an amazing anthology. Congratulations on your publication. I love playing with the idea of villains as main characters. And it sounds like there are shared characters between the stories so all the stories are set in the same world?

I’m always bad at picking favorites; I fall in love so easily. 😛 But the person above me picked two, so can I have three? I loved watching Lucifer on Supernatural, Benehime (from the Legend of Eli Monpress series by Rachel Aaron) succeeded in making me feel really good about hating her, and the Chandrian (from The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss) are delightfully mysterious or creepy depending on the moment. 🙂

  3. I would love to win this book. As good vs. evil has always intrigued me, But my favorite character (good or bad) is the one with the brains. Engineer, doctor, tactical etc. To have that knowledge….wow!

  4. Hi.

I am always rooting for the villain. Some of my favourites are Catwoman, Mystique, venom, deathstroke and Harley Quinn.

Best movie portrayal of a super villain is Heath Ledger’s Joker.

You books sounds very interesting and I hope it sells well.

  5. The book looks pretty interresting! Totally going to add it to my to read list…
Favorite villian?… I have so many….Loki, Dr Doom, Magneto… (on the BD side of the villians world xD)

  6. Would love to win this book, looks a really absorbing and engaging read. My favourite literary villain is Lord Voldemort who I can only but liken to Darth Vadar, evil personified!

  7. Wow, this sounds like a really interesting book. Never even thought about that concept before…
My favourite villains would have to be Loki from the Marvel series, Drake and Gaia from the Gone series, maybe Voldemort from Harry Potter, Valentine in the City of Bones (the movie), and some others. There are just so many to choose from!

  8. Oh wow. A favorite villain? I can never choose.. choosing favorites has always been so hard for me. I guess it depends on my mood.

  9. I know I would enjoy this book. As for my favorite villain, that would be Saker from the Elementals comic book. Before modern times he was known as Lucifer, and since he was brought back from the dead he cant die again and he has gone insane.
